Terms of Service — Cardmox
Last updated: October 5, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply only to Cardmox, published by No Code Venture (“we”, “us”, “our”). By installing or using Cardmox, you agree to these Terms.
1. Privacy policy and Apple EULA
Our Privacy Policy explains how Cardmox handles information. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
If you downloaded Cardmox from the Apple App Store, your use of the app is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple Standard EULA”). If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA on a matter covered by Apple’s agreement, the Apple Standard EULA controls for that matter. These Terms supplement the Apple Standard EULA and describe Cardmox-specific rules.
2. Eligibility and age
Cardmox is a business productivity app and is not directed at children. You may use the app only if you are old enough to form a binding contract with us and, where the law requires it, to consent to online services in your country (in many places, at least 13; in the European Economic Area, often 16, unless your country allows a lower age with parental consent).
Paid subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s account rules, store age ratings, and parental controls.
See our Privacy Policy for how we treat information relating to children.
3. No user accounts with us
Cardmox does not require you to create an account with us. Sign-in for iCloud sync, if you use it, is provided by Apple under Apple’s terms. Support is available by email as described in the Contact section.
4. The app and your content
Cardmox helps you scan, review, organize, export, and optionally add business card information you choose. Text recognition runs on your device. Optional Cardmox AI sends recognized text (not the card photo) to our service as described in the Privacy Policy. Your saved library is stored on your device and may sync through Apple iCloud; we do not host your card library on our servers.
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you save and for complying with applicable law when you store or export contact data (including consent and marketing rules that may apply in your jurisdiction). You are responsible for maintaining backups you need outside the app (for example device or iCloud backups).
OCR and AI structuring may contain errors. Always review fields before saving or sharing contact information.
5. Subscriptions and purchases
Cardmox offers a free tier and optional Pro subscriptions (weekly, monthly, and yearly plans may be offered; availability and pricing are shown in the app before you buy). On the free plan, Cardmox AI structuring is limited to three requests per device per calendar month (UTC). Pro removes the monthly AI cap and unlocks additional features such as unlimited folders, auto-add to Contacts, full export, and backup import, as described in the app.
Apple App Store: Payments are processed by Apple. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device. Restore purchases is available in the app where offered. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; we do not process App Store refunds directly.
Pro is marketed as unlimited scans and unlimited Cardmox AI structuring for normal use. Automated abuse prevention on our servers may briefly limit AI structuring under extreme burst patterns; scanning and on-device OCR still work. See the Privacy Policy for details.
We do not receive your payment card details from Apple.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Cardmox in violation of applicable law or third-party rights
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where law allows
- Interfere with the app’s operation or circumvent subscription, App Attest, or quota protections
- Use the app or Cardmox AI service to distribute malware, scrape third-party data unlawfully, or engage in fraudulent activity
- Submit content you do not have the right to process
7. Intellectual property
Cardmox, its design, and our branding are owned by No Code Venture or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of business card information and images you capture. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or service names.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Cardmox is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that scanning, OCR, AI structuring, or sync will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that every field on every card will be detected correctly. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties not required by applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, No Code Venture and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Cardmox. Our total liability for claims relating to Cardmox will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Cardmox in the twelve months before the claim or (b) fifty euros (€50), except where liability cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
9. Changes, governing law, and disputes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms at https://cardmox.com/terms and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also have mandatory rights under the laws of your country of residence, including the right to bring legal proceedings in the courts of your country where mandatory law allows.
